Library Visitors

The summer tends to be just a little slower here in the library. That is in part due to vacations and people moving. However, this week has been different because we had visitors from the U.S. and Mexico. The library work force is being expanded by a new family, Rusty and Beth Ridgeway, who will be joining us in August. Rusty visited Budapest this week to make sure all his preparations for bringing his wife and four children were in readiness. He brought with him a friend, Tony Crumbley, who is a missionary in Matamoros, Mexico. We enjoyed meeting them and getting acquainted with both of them. Merrill and I are looking forward to Rusty, Beth and their family moving to Budapest and partnering with us in the work of the library.

While Rusty and Tony were here, we had the unexpected pleasure of meeting Ervin Orban, Robert Rider, Cassandra Rider and Maria Sherman from Fort Wayne, IN. They came to see the library because Ervin's daughter, Maia, is a member of our home congregation, Bettendorf Christian Church and she had urged her father to visit the library while visiting in Budapest. Ervin is Hungarian by birth and has relatives in Budapest, whom he is visiting. His son-in-law, Robert and two granddaughters from Fort Wayne were with him. We are always excited to have visitors come and see the library.
